    Does UIC require the GRE?

Hey! I have a question. Is the GRE required at University of Illinois Chicago for their planning program? I looked at the site and I can't find it as one of the required elements that are needed to apply. They said only if your applying for a graduate assistanceship and or fellowship you need it. Otherwise I don't see it..

They do not require the GRE score for general admission, but they do require it (or at least recommend it) if you would like to be considered for research or graduate assistant positions.

From the acsp.org guide, however, it looks like out-of-state tuition at UIC is $14,728/semester. It might be worthwhile to study up and take the GRE: most assistantships come with tuition-and-fee remission, and a small salary that will help you pay the rent. Unless there is a very compelling reason, spending $60,000 so you don't have to take the GRE is hard to justify.
