    Certified Planner in Charge

I have come across this term a few times recently in Nebraska. I was not aware of any licensing/certification requirement in that state, and kinda think this is just an attempt by some people to inflate their ego/resume by being an AICP planner and project manager. I have also seen "Missouri certified planner in charge". Anybody have some insight?
Anyone want to adopt a dog?

I like "certified planner". I do not like "in charge". The only time that should be used is for the phrase "large and in charge".

Aside from trying to stand out from the crowd, perhaps they stuck their finger in a wall socket?

    Odd phrasing.

Michigan has a Professional Community Planner certification. It is similar to the AICP but tests more on Michigan Planning Law.

Interesting....hadn't heard that one. I'm going to use it as a title to give to my planners when they do something well....make them the "Planner in Charge" for the day. LOL!
