    Dream City

If you were able to create a city of you're own, what would it look like, where would it be located, population, amenaties, elaborate. The more detail the better.

    My dream city

Like Buffalo circa 1925: a mid-sized city with no suburbs, so you could have the walkability of an NYC without the hassle.

I'd probably have it one the Central Coast of California, population about a million or so, large military/ex-military population centered around a navy base. Extensive light rail system downtown, augmented by commuter rail to handle an additional suburban-sprawl population of 1,000,000. Amtrak station. Also several parochial universities, all clumped up together. CBD proper is centered around a central square with a statue of some Spanish conquistador.
