    West Hollywood to Ban Fur

This doesn't strike me as something that will pass muster in the courts. Curious what others think. Wouldn't this be like passing an ordinance prohibiting strip clubs from being located within city limits?

On the other hand, and unlike strip clubs, there probably isn't much danger of this resulting in some form of "red light district" for furs the next city over... (fur light district? )

Given the title of this thread, I thought this was about establishments offering Brazilian bikini waxing. Never mind. Silly me.
But it is West Hollywood. So, what ever...
    Annoyingly insensitive

They managed to ban plastic bags in San Francisco. Are they banning the selling of fur or possession?

Selling of fur. They might also allow re-sale of vintage fur.

I don't know- the town of Carmel banned the wearing of high heels. And lot's of cities have banned the selling of items like water-pipes.

They may have banned high heels, however they likely have no legitimate authority to do so. It simply hasn't been challenged.
