    Username changes

This thread is for the announcement of user name changes, per the new user name change policy.

You'll have to start your own thread for trash talk of new usernames.

Hmmm . . . worth thinking about, but I do like my user name!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

    Also, to clarify:

I change that still leaves you more-or-less identifiable isn't a major name change, and probably something we could do more often. An example might be RichmondJake to FloridaJake. A major name change is something that leaves no traces of the original name; for example, michaelskis to XXdragonslayer69XX

Oh that would be awesome! I am all for that... NOT

I personally plan to keep my name because it describes me well. My name is Mike and for a good part of my life, I was a ski bum!
Me: "I am sorry, but the Ordinance and the Master Plan does not permit that at this time. But if you would like to request amendments, this 355 page document outlines the procedure. You will need…. (CLIPPED TO ACCOMMODATE LIMIT) …. It will likely take 36 to 48 months to get final approvals. Then you can submit for a building permit and break ground Would you like to get started with the process?

Applicant: "Geeze, a simple No you can't do that would have worked"

Thought about it for 10 seconds, but eff J doesn't roll off the tongue like RJ.

I'm serious when I say that I'd like to have a minor username change. Dan, if you would like to know why, I'd be happy to PM you the reason.

One idea I had was "Stana", (see http://www.cyburbia.org/forums/showt...ana#post487113 ). But if for some reason that's not be possible, I'd like offer other (serious) minor name changes.

In accordance with some other thread I read out there I must change my name to something that includes "plan"
    DVDplanner (kinda lame)

Maybe I can include zoning in there somehow?
DVDzone? The DVD zone sounds like it would have to come with a list of uses.

Sorry, I can't think of a minor name change, but the dragonslayer69 thing sounds cool.
Need a planner? Why not Dvd?

    1 - ask Dan nicely.
    2 - change it to what ?
    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Dan, when I snailmailed you the check for my Cyburbia+ membership, I wrote in the card something like a baker's dozen ideas for my username change. Have you decided which one you're going to use?

    Eagerly awaiting your reply.

I've had this handle for too long: XXdragonslayer69XX sounds very attractive.
