    Urban Planner from UK/ GER

    Hello all,

I have graduated from Cambridge University in July this year and am currently working for an international company as a credit assessment analyst in Hamburg, Germany.

I now really want to apply to an Urban Planning Masters Program at an American University and am aiming to apply to the following:

    -MIT
    -Cornell
    -Rutgers
    -Berkeley
    -USC
    -Georgia tech
    -UPenn
    -Columbia
    -University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign

I am currently writing my Statement of Purpose and would be very grateful for any kind of help/ advice/ stories/ experience. If u have anything else u could give me advice on in terms of the application process/ the GRE/ visa issues and the like, please just message me.

If u have any questions for me or would like to know anything just ask me.

    Cheers,

    Alina

    Hello, from Dallas, !
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011

    Hi Alina,

I am a California resident and have been considering getting my Masters in Urban Planning in the UK. I see it's the reverse for you! I'd be interested to know why you're seeking your degree here in the States as opposed to the UK. What is your assessment of Cambridge University, and in a general sense UK universities in general?
