What are some good examples of Planning problems that have been overcome by Planning techniques (ie, rezoning, demolition, revision of ordinance provisions, separation of incompatible uses, new buffering, increasing setbacks, etc.)?
The demolition of the eye-sore of a delapidated building and replacement by a new one is not considered a feature of good planning so much as it is a consequence of economics - unless somehow you can demonstrate that it was a good planning technique that drove the improvement.
Do you remember any good examples from your City Planning courses?
Do you have any pictures, maps, or drawings for illustration?
