Casual button-down twill shirt, jeans and hiking boots today. That would be formal wear if I was at home.

Usually Fridays is jeans with a button-up, no tie.

But this morning was the State of the City address, so I'm in full suit and tie regalia.

I may be losing the tie though when I go home for lunch.

We have two casual days a week (sometimes three... sometimes four!). Today I am in some good ole' hipster blue jeans (not skinny, just hipster approved denim sourcing and manufacturing), a khaki shirt, and cream colored sweater. The kicker though are the blue suede FU boots.

I went home for lunch and took the tie off. However, I proceeded to get food on my shirt.

As I was changing my shirt, I figured I might as well change into jeans as well.

But the pair of jeans I wanted to wear was dirty.

So I ended up back in the office with a different dress shirt, no tie, and khakis.

Which means everyone at the office assumes you went home for a "nooner" and made up some lie about getting food on your shirt. Sweeeeeet! The boss-man gettin' busy!

I wore Nike running shoes, blue jeans, and a Hawaiian inspired floral pattern camp shirt to work yesterday. It was Friday.

I usully just throw a robe over my boxers before heading down to the office.

After breakfast and checking/responding to emails I'll take a shower and then dress. Shorts and a t-shirt in summer, jeans and long-sleeved shirt, with maybe a sweater in winter. For meetings with more casual clients or field work I'll don khakis and a company logo shirt. For interviews and presentations it is a sportcoat, with or without tie.

I missed that. My biggest pet peeve is seeing conservation women who wear camo t-shirts and ball caps. There are plenty of options that are comfortable and look better. They don't have to look like a farm hand or like they're ready to go hunting. Well, that's what I think. They don't.

Tomorrow I'll be wearing a dark pinstripe suit and tie. Important public hearing tomorrow.
