I am wondering if anyone has any experience with the New Jersey Institute of Technology, particularly their Ph.D. program in Urban Systems. Unfortunately, I'm not eligible for their Master in Infrastructure Planning because I have an international relations background instead of the required engineering or design. However, I am considering applying to the Urban Systems Ph.D. program as a long shot. The program seems interesting for the way it might combine study of transportation, land use, health, and other aspects. Still, it seems very different from most other programs, so it is difficult to figure out. If anyone knows about the program, I would greatly appreciate any advice you can give.
I know that for me--with an undergrad degree and three years of non-academic working experience--a Ph.D. program won't be easy. Still, I find the program intriguing.
Thanks for your help.
