Standards or design regs for solar gardens?

Has anyone worked with, or come across land use standards or design regulations for solar gardens? We're a small town of 1,336 and have several large 3+ acre parcels in our town limits that have generated interest among a few solar installation companies as potential sites for solar energy collection. Our land use code doesn't address solar at all, but "essential services and facilities" are a use by right in every zone district.
