My daughter woke up around 3:00 a.m. and after getting her some milk she was out like a light again just 10 minutes later... unfortunately, I was not so lucky. After an hour of tossing and turning, I decided to pack my bag and walk to the 24 hour gym in town. So I was able to get in about a 90 minute workout, 6 miles worth of walking in the 18º weather (2 to the gym, 2 meandering around town afterwards while listening to some podcasts, and 2 back home) and breakfast with the old folks at a 24 hour diner... all this has been accomplished by 8:30 a.m. on a Sunday. I cannot imagine I am going to do anything else productive the rest of the day.

I got a great deal on a gently used '07 Chevy Impala and I love it. What I did not realize when I purchased it, is that it is commonly used for a government fleet car in NJ including many of the undercover officers. That has been beneficial because the car is never messed with in the two inner city areas that I have worked in during the past two years that I've had it unlike many of my unfortunate coworkers' cars. It rides well, gets good mileage, and has been quite reliable.

As much as I currently like the look of the 1x1" glass tile in showers I think it will become quickly dated (if it isn't already).

How many songs have there been about cars period? Okay, I guess the Beach Boys had some sort of fixation with cars because they had a couple tunes "she's so fine my 409" and "little deuce coupe"

But other than that no one else in the history of music has ever written any songs about cars. "No sir, no one can could possibly name another [song about cars]because there aren't any," he said with great conviction and authority.1

There's also virtually no chance this topic will be split off into its own thread. Because there's nothing to talk about, being as there are no other songs about cars.

Sir, I demand satisfaction. I challenge you to a duel. Do you accept, or are you a coward?

Maybe there should be some. It's up to us to write them. Heck many of us drive 'em so we should be well qualified to write songs about 'em

This Christmas Hubby and I received a generous gift of a lobstah dinner for two. Sounds yummy, no? The problem is that the lobstah's are shipped live and we have to kill'em. Eep.

    There is The Boss' lyrics

At night we ride through mansions of glory in suicide machines
Sprung from cages out on highway 9,
    Chrome wheeled, fuel injected

hemi-powered drones scream down the boulevard
The girls comb their hair in rearview mirrors
and then there is Racing in the Street

I see that a lot on HGTV; is it a real bitch to keep clean?

Rj and I were sitting out by the pool today (yes, it was that warm) and got to talking about Father Guido Sarducci from SNL; anyone else remember him? We'll need to do the YouTube search, of course...

Very funny guy with a real dry delivery style. Actually started out on the Smothers Brothers show where he was also a writer before SNL.

Watching Father Guido Sarducci's Five Minute University on YouTube[/B],
made me think what would be his version of 5 minute planning school ?

Potential split from this thread ?

I can't do a cheesy Italian accent, plus I'm not a guy, so I don't think I'll weigh in on that one!
