When did spandex become the standard for casual bicyclist garb? What's wrong with regular clothes?

Don't you miss the good old days of having the chain grab their pant leg and slam them to a stop?

Going to Chicago next Friday. The wife has a conference and does not like to travel alone. Anyone have any suggestions on what I should see?

There's a Frank Lloyd Wright walking tour in the Loop that you might consider and there is always the Field Museum of Natural History.

Made it through the first round of evaluations with no tears! (from them or from me!)

One thing I plan on doing is bringing my camera. There is a very cool view on S. Wabash looking north on top of the el overpass that has old historic buildings on each side of the street and the newer Trump building over the river at the end of the street.

I have never gone on the Wright tour there. I love architecture so that might be a possibility.

I get excited when our local Facebook page gets new likes.

I think that is cool when communities use tech like this. My neighborhood association just got a facebook page and it freaked people out.

I am starting to get residents from my local community asking to be my Facebook friend - some I only know by introduction and not lunch friends or the like - I am making use of the restricted friend list on those folks - status updates and music only - no photos, comments, likes - it's a great tool for people you may not want to let in completely in your life but feel obligated to friend...

I just woke up from being asleep at my desk. Not briefly asleep....the kind of asleep where people come in and pose you and take pictures and those pictures end up on a slide show at the employee Christmas party. That kind.

    Today is just flying by.

We are meeting with our new nanny tonight to go over all the details, schedules, places in the house that are off limits to the boys, emergency contacts, and all the fun processes and procedures. We had the follow up interview this morning and it went great.

I feel so bad for the city clerk at one of my client communities. The election process and changing state regulations are really causing issues for many of the clerks in the area.

Layers of "regular" clothing serve as an abrasive surface between skin and saddle, resulting in saddle sores. Best prevention is to wear skin-tight stretchy fabric on the contact zones.

For more info, look up the blog of my FB buddy Ernest.

Just looked up the times on the South Shore Line for next week. Under $20 round trip for two... so much better than driving into Chicago.

Will someone please give me permission to not attend tonight's community meeting? My knee feels as if it is about to fall off. I don't need to be at the meeting, the Senior Planner is running the show with the consultant. Our Planner will be there as well. I'm just in pain and worried about doing damage to my knee. I don't like being injured.

I'll take it. I just texted my Senior Planner to let her know. Now I just need to work up the strength to walk to the car.
