I need to get the snow blower fixed... or maybe a new one. Mine was built in the 60's and has been welded, patched, repaired, rebuilt, and modified so many times that I don't know what I can do with it.

It it also has a unique feature... a clutch break. If you want to stop it from moving, you need to squeeze the handle. If you are not touching it, it goes on it's own.

Maybe I will start it up and set it free.

People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. Sometimes I want to get rid of almost everything I own and live a minimalist lifestyle. But then I wonder if simple would actually result in being stressful because I don't have what I "need".

Bought plane tickets to visit the parents over Christmas... but the only return flight in my price range leaves at 7:00 a.m. on January 1st, so I guess I'll just pretend I'm in my early 20's one more time...

We didn't get any snow. False alarm...or rather, the storm stayed closer to the coast. I feel bad for all those people in NYC, LI, and NJ who are still dealing with the impact of Hurricane Sandy.

BTW, dandy's homemade muffins were exactly as advertised. I can see how they would be addicting.

I need to save some random thoughts for the "Ten Things Thursday" thread.

I'm taking the afternoon off, renting a metal/lot pin locator, and searching for the lot pins on my property. Should be fun......as long as I actually find the pins.

First car/car accident yesterday - I rear ended a car We were stopped at a light, it turned greeen and everyone started going for about five seconds until the line of cars started braking ahead and she slammed on her breaks and I hit her. Minimal damage to both cars, but shook me the hell up. After it happened, the driver said everyone was ok but her mom's (passenger) neck hurt "a little". Then the ambulance, two cop cars, and FD got there and the moans and crying started. So I am horrified and embarrassed by this, but then pissed if she is exagerating her injuries, then mad at myself for thinking the worse, then scared I'll get sued. Just a jumble of emotions, when in the whole scheme of life it was actually quite minor.

I am listening to sitar music today.

    How random is that?

SW MI Planner -- yikes! I'd write down everything you can recall about the wreck now while it is fresh in your memory. That way if you need it later, you can consult it instead of trying to recall everything.

Last night's ZBA meeting included an item for our local motorcycle club. Of course, they showed up in full regalia The former Building Commissioner represented them and explained that I would be writing the staff report, etc, and then was asked where I live. Jokingly, I presume. Nonetheless, he told 'em I fly in for the meetings from Argentina.

Everything went smoothly and I'm told this morning if anybody ever tries to f__k with me, all I have to do is call 'em. On this, I think they are quite serious.

If I listened to sitar music, it would stimulate an immediate craving for Indian food.

So sorry. Hopefully everything will turn out for the best. Stay positive.
