Being the "lead negotiator" of our union's negotiating team, I got to sign our contract agreement which can now go to the membership for ratification. If the boys and girls say "yes", we can get our 16-weeks retro pay raises on the Friday before Christmas. YEEHAW!

I cannot imagine that anybody will vote against this contract except possibly someone on the pure principle that nothing should be unanimous (sort of like the Congresswoman who voted against declaring war on Japan in 1941): a two year contract with decent pay raises both years and NO give-backs on health care!!!!!

I think it's Hawaiian for hahaha.

The ad I'm getting at the top of the page shows four hot, busty women who proclaim, "We don't like young men. We want you." *sigh* FML

lol that is fabulous! It is just my geeky laugh (a- hee -hee -hee). I started to write it ahihihi because my wife and I use to live on Ahihi St. in Hawaii, which would be pronounced A-hee-hee. We thought it was hilarious.

Folks I work with always question why I have one of the biggest cubicles in the department with copious amounts of wall and counter space but have put up almost no personal items in the nearly six years I've been here. I have zero pictures of my wife or daughter, no diplomas or certificates, no personal books, no ironic coffee mugs. All I have is a Dwight Schrute bobblehead and a Marine Corps wall calendar that is still showing August 2008 (I forgot to switch it once, now I keep it unchanged out of silliness).

Yesterday I received a very formal looking "Certificate of Appreciation" from the district court for my half day of jury duty service last month. I have a box of old frames in a closet at home and I am going to dig out the most ornate frame that I can find and put it up on my wall.

Thank you for reminding me. I am bringing a yoga ball to work to sit on at my desk to help with this very thing.

There is no toilet paper or copy paper in the office. I think work should be canceled?

    I'm ready for my closeup

One of our county commissioner has resigned four years into his six-year term. In a news story he said one of the principal reasons he was quiting was staff. And guess which staff member was shown in the stock footage accompanying the story?

I'd like to see a random Hawaiian word generator, that will make up Hawaiian sounding words. You know, like kapumaolawekai, halakoawapunamoa, and kaminakamehamehamoamoakini.

I think you'd be fairly safe alternating random vowels and consonants
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate.
