    And a hug.

You're one date closer to finding her.

Except for my Mom out in California who I talked to this afternoon, I don't think anybody likes me anymore.

Um, sure, I, um, we, yeah, we like you.

Why don't you take yourself out to Macy's and give yourself a treat.
Maybe have a few of these first, and then I'm sure it will be a very special treat.

You're rarely around anymore when the rest of us are here.

I slept horribly last night. It is as if my body knew that I had a stressful few days coming up and wanted to hamstring me!

    You and me both...

RJ, count me as one of the few who like you.

Dan, if you enjoyed her company, ask her out again. What do you have to lose?

Our quest for 8k is getting tougher... with only 5 weeks left, we need 2500 posts. I think you can do the math there - 500 posts per week, or 100 posts per weekday. That is tough.

    More randomness please...

Edgiest phrase ever typed in a cover letter

Full disclosure: participants at downtown events recognize me as the "tuba lady," as I am often providing special music and color. (Example from [downtown event]: [URL, photo from local paper] )

Hasn't put 'em off, already got the "we're going through things and will get back to you" reply.

I walked into town early Friday morning for coffee and a newspaper and was surprised to see a couple of the stores actually had pretty good crowds of Black Friday shoppers at 6:00 a.m. That was a first - in the past it always seemed like shoppers generally bypassed downtown and would go to the gargantuan mall a couple miles away on Black Friday instead.

Hey everyone! Hope all had a great holiday weekend! I spend it with friends and family, did some midnight shopping and the Gators won the state championship

Will I get to 8K before this thread does, I thought randomly and apropos of nothing.

I was boot shopping over the weekend and noticed that many boots do not come in half sizes...what's up with that? If I'm spending $$ on boots, I want them to fit right!

Also another shoe thing that I noticed, flip flops will often come in the following sizes:

    5/6

    7/8

    9/10

So if you are an even half size, what do you do? Get ones that are either a little too small or way too big!

20th HS reunion on Saturday was fun. Recognized about 3/4 of the people there. My wife hit it off with my junior high school girlfriend. I got along pretty well with her husband.

My only complaint: DJ and music were far too loud, making some conversations difficult (added to the fact that no one was dancing...all were too busy chatting and drinking).

I wonder if Dan would appreciate it if we started a 'Let's put our heads together & get Dan hooked up' thread? We could try to figure out what he could be doing differently to attract a mate.

I like you. I'm offending that I haven't gotten a DD call lately.

    You are wrong.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?

Stop pandering. We like you. We just don't want to be like you.

Oh, geez, don't put him through that. This could turn into the only thread where yellow cards go out before anyone posts.

Is that a dare? Cuz that sure sounds like a dare to me.

I think it was a dare, why yes - I didn't know we could do that here...

He just needs to lower his standards. Am I perfect? No. Is my wife perfect? No. But we both chose to work with what we had knowing our imperfections.
