No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.

Wah. I have a fever, a pounding headache and my joints ache.

And I didn't get to eat my cupcake for dinner. I just went straight to bed.

Did you get a flu shot this year?

Came back to work yesterday after 5.5 days off. It was rough. Today will be better, because the boss is out all day!!

    Grapefruit, Medicine Interaction Warning Expanded

All I take is nutritional supplements so I am not too worried, but it makes me wonder if I should also be drinking more grapefruit juice to help get the most nutrition out of the foods that I do eat.

Also makes me wonder if you drink grapefruit juice and take the little blue pill, will it last 8 hours?

I do not get a flu shot anymore. The wife showed me several reports of what is in there... not good.

If I had responded to all the emails telling me I had money waiting for me in banks in Nigeria, Sri Lanka, South Africa and the UK, I wouldn't have to play the lottery.

I am in an odd mood today. Not sure why though. I don't even feel like listening to Christmas music. Odd.

Also note: Flu shots are very important for many people to get. Please do not think they are scary like vaccinations. They are good for you and help keep otherwise healthy people out of doctor's offices and emergency rooms. For the sake of the healthcare world, don't take echinacea and think you will stay healthy, get the stinkin' shot.

My boss can be a total asshat. He sent me an e-mail insinuating that my lack of attention to detail (unfounded) would waste grant funds. Really? I'm the manager of this freaking grant, I'm the one dealing with the day-to-day budget, I'm the one who knows what HUD is requiring for this grant. He hasn't been around the past 8 months so doesn't know what is going on and to think that I would be willing to waste city funds is frankly insulting.

I saw that as "Ever drink a cup of random potassium?", which would not be good.

Great Freudian slip. Returning to the office after a rough break sucks, too.

Sounds like he's flexing his managerial muscles after a long time away. Hopefully he will show his teeth and retreat. (Too many metaphors? )

I must get back to work.

This is a first in my experience: the police chief just dropped off a [Otisville] Police Department Christmas tree ornament for me.

No. I tried that. Dropped one in water and ... nada. I think it requires elemental potassium.

Or are you asking me if I'm your grandmother? The answer would be "no."

The merciless comedy website The Onion has declared North Korean leader Kim Jong Un the "sexiest man alive for 2012." And it appears China's People's Daily Online has taken the story seriously.

If it makes you feel any better, I contemplated responding with a somewhat inappropriate double entendre before you posted.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
