The latter. Unless you buy one of those ridiculously oversized packages they often sell at the movie theater for $2.50.

When I was about 8 or 9, I used to buy comic books and candy at a store in town. Candy bars were either 5 cents or 7 cents. *insert dinosaur icon here*

Yes! I would like to shake your hand, Sir. If more people embraced chocolate milkshakes and shunned pessimism, the world would be a better place.

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

At Christmas time, you can buy Reese's cups that are the size of small pies. The downside is that they cost $11 or $12.

Yea... today at lunch I worked on my personal 2013 expenditures & budgets!

I was able to cut personal budget costs by 8% for next year while increasing revenues by 7%!

Wow, if you can pull that off, more power to you!

Watch that, don't want to make the house so cold that the kids got sick! (more than wiping out savings) How you going to increase revenues by that much? Hoping for a big increase in savings/investments? Part time job as an usher for the Griffins? Don't know about your work, but here if they give us a $1,000 raise it will be teamed with a bennies cut of $1,500!

It doesn't work like that. My methodology is more arcane and mercurial. Anyone who joins the CluBbbbbbbe, though, gets a free subscription to my newsletter "Teh Clube Times" that features all kinds of interesting articles, such as what does and doesn't qualify for a thread split (and many others). You should all join the CluBbbbbbbe as soon as you can to learn more! The quickest way to do that is to post in RTDNTOTO as early and as often as possible
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I have needed to prepare for a 6:00 p.m. meeting all day long, and have known exactly what I wanted to do to prepare. It is now 4:07 p.m. Ask me if I have prepared.....go ahead...ask me.

That's right, I did NOT!!!! Nobody tells me what to do! I say who, I say where, I say when!

Fine, I'll get ready. But I won't be happy about it, and I will NOT smile. OK, I will.

Conferences are not stooopid just filled with uninteresting topics, poor speakers, and bad presentations.

Finalizing a refi on the house, changed natural gas providers, changed Internet provider, changed insurance provider, cut Netflix (Hulu only now), and just found out that our budget wise plan for electric is going down.

Fiscal didn't answer any of my requests for project expenditures or cash flow analysis. So I puttered around in my office, did some shuffling of papers, updated my calendar, printed a bunch of personal documents and RJ'd at 3:45pm. Me with
an attorney on a personal matter for some clarification and advice which went well.

Came home, partner was complaining that one of the maintenance staff lifted his iPod and the baby did something with his keys. Reminded him that he stashed the iPod on top of the bookshelf so the maintenance staff wouldn't nick it when we were on vacation and asked a few questions about the keys. When did you last have them, what were you doing, etc. Found them clipped to the belt loop of his jeans hanging on the back of the bedroom door
