We're closed Dec 24, 25, and Dec. 31 and Jan. 1. I have 3 days left that I'm carrying to Jan. 2 - 4 while my daughter is home. She can't come home until Dec. 28.

Anecdotally, I get the feeling you are correct.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    Unions are good for something.

I tend to hoard my vacation time/personal days until the end of the year. We're allowed to accrue comp time so I end to use that for vacations earlier in the year. This year I'll be carrying over 10 vacation days plus getting paid out for 102 hrs of Comp Time. Yay!

I'm working on a project that is turning me into an armchair-quarterback of planning in Nevada... (i.e., I'm learning everything there is to know but probably won't actually be playing).

I woke up and got to work early because I was excited that I have a looooong day but tomorrow I'm only working 1 hour. I can taste my holiday break.

During next year's holiday break, you should meet MW, SeaMonkey and I up in Maine. We can go harass lp into making us hot cocoa and taking us skiing.

I couldn't decide whether to post this in the Neverending Youtube thread, or the "Let's Get Annoying Songs Stuck in Each Others Heads" thread...

    Enjoy!

I remember when I first started dating my wife, she would record on VHS each day's episode of Guiding Light. That meant I watched it with her and I found myself getting dragged into the world of Guiding Light. I miss those days, when the biggest worry in the world was wondering if there was enough room on the VHS to record the next episode.

It makes me wonder though, if Apple and Google can work together, why can't Republicans and Democrats. THERE IS HOPE YET!

My hairbrush I keep at work is actually a brush for a cat. The brush is small and the bristles are too soft to brush the cat effectively, so I kept it for myself.

And ever since I started using it, I haven't had any ticks or fleas.

Now if you could just get over that urge to lick yourself in inappropriate places when you're in public...

Two days in a row I have walked away from my desk only to return to a cookie set down for me. I hope this develops into a long term trend.

You have a secret cookie admirer! That is adorable! And I'm jealous. All anyone ever puts down for me when i'm away from my desk are permits to review....

Kid Sing Along day at school... I took the day off. The sing along thing was 12 minutes. Yep that gives me a nice rest of the day....
