No, but when I do, I talk with T-Mobile. First in its class with talk to yourself technology.

I believe there was 63% of the traffic this morning. I wonder how many private sector people have today off....

8AM is such a random time to start work. Someday when I have power I am going to force the office to open at 7:47AM.

Right now dandy is the #1 RT slacker. I'll have to make an effort to pace myself carefully today so as not to overtake her. TRUE.

maister, you're a gentleman and a good sport.

I was thinking of trying to reach the next level of the clube by 11:59, but I don't have the endurance for it.

Although I am somewhat confused by the oatmeal... I like the positive attitude.

Alright fine what does the oatmeal have to do with anything?

Last night, I had what amounts to my first dinner disaster. Gumbo was the meal, and having my truck at the tire shop delayed my prepping and cooking. Just as I was beginning to prep, a friend showed up for a premature visit; she said she was coming after dinner. So, nothing was prepped, and I sat for a visit. She stayed 30 - 40 minutes, but near the end stayed in the kitchen while I chopped vegetables. The meal was just going into the pot, and I scorched the roux.

I was in a bad mood to begin with, thanks to the tire shop and some extenuating circumstances that prevent me from complaining to management, and really had to adjust my attitude to prevent the anger from affecting my cooking skill.

Thanks to understanding guests, the meal turned out great, and the company was even better.

When I was a little girl, my mom used to give us oatmeal for breakfast because it would 'stick' to our stomachs all morning. It's a power breakfast food, one built for endurance events.

That is only true if you cover it in brown sugar.

I made some home made gifts for Christmas this year. There were home canned preserves and jams from summer time.

I also sewed microwave heating pads. Most that I see are just pillows filled with rice or dried corn. The heated part shifts to the ends of the pillows, moving the heat away from where you want it. I sewed channels into the ones I made, and the seams are like hinges, and hold the heated parts in place.

I put the gifts into a big basket and took them to my mom's on Christmas, and everyone helped themselves. As people were leaving, my sister asked if she could take preserves to her inlaws. That was ok, but then she tried to help herself to the remaining two heating pads. I had to stop her because I had someone in mind for those. The nerve of some people.

Everyone seemed to like the heating pads.
