I wonder what hipsters are chewing these days. I could totally see them bringing back Bazooka Joe or Chiclets for the irony factor

So I took my first cheese making class last weekend with the wife. I am now able to make mozzarella and ricotta. Success! Although they aren't exactly full of flavor. I need unpasteurized milk...

Check with your locally-owned health food store, they may have farmers to put you in touch with. Of course, this is all highly illegal so you didn't hear it from me.

OK, about $2,000.00 of that was expenses related to her business that she forgot to cover from her business account. That's better. But I'm still a little . OTOH she got airline miles for it, which is why it is on her personal credit card.

I saw an ad for a local university tonight. It begins with a student saying "I always wanted to be a......." and other students finish the thought. The first one says "...an urban planner." I've never seen a commercial like this before and thought it was nice to hear it.

Heard at the tail end of a crime story on the local midday news today: "His wife stated that he was 'not in his right mind' when he pleaded insanity". Huh?

I love when you know fireworks are going to happen, and you don't have to be at a meeting. I just get to hear about it tomorrow....

Sad story in today's newspaper. A migrant worker was killed as he was teaching another migrant worker how to work a skid steer. The two men were related. They're calling it an industrial accident. The worst part is that the sheriff called Border Patrol after the incident.

I wore a recently re-soled pair of shoes to work this morning and stopped to get coffee. In case you are ever wondering, new leather soles + icy sidewalks are a bad combination!

I believe the marketing folks have succeeded in making "get" a synonym for "buy". I hear it everywhere and it annoys the crap out of me.

Just don't get pessimistic. Being blah is fine. Just don't let it go to negativelandia. That place is like Hotel California. You can check out anytime you like, but you can never leave.

I've already instilled in my 8 year old the DIFFERENCE between "need" and "want". That doesn't stop her from asking for things incessantly (she is an 8 year old girl after all), but she does know the difference.

Are you borrowing my daughter? She knows the difference and does the same thing.

On items she really wants, she throw the NEED word in until she can't actually explain why. Her birthday is next week and recently she been saying she needs an iPad. Everything she says she needs it for she can do on the computer or Daddy's iPhone. Yesterday she finally said she wants an iPad but knows she not going to get it because its expensive (and she's right, she's not getting it).

I noticed that as well. I just looked through the first section my first time through. When I actually read it, it seems that you just made it

I'm debating whether or not to frame the article and hang it in my office.

Bad start to the day. I'm giving everyone warning that it might not be pretty. The driver that honked the car horn at me for letting a pedestrian with a dog cross the street (doggy had the right of way) almost got a throat-punch.
