I wondered about that - spontaneous chickadee combustion. Poor little guys.

Black-Capped Chickadees are the same way. They've told all their pals before I've even had a chance to finish refilling the feeders. Feisty little birds.

Hubby put a frozen pizza in the oven. No, not French bread pizza - I'm not a fan. It's actually a store-brand self-rising pizza that's pretty good.

Hubby will be home soon with fud so I need to super-post in the next few minutes to make up for my soon-to-be absence.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

I've been to all of them. Did the Roanoke museum remind you of the outer banks' own Roanoke Island?

If I had the gumption, and a wife not asking me to pack it in for the year, I could reach the Clubbe today as well as helping this thread get to 10k. Watch for it early in 2013 instead.

I am more than impressed that when I left for Christmas this thread wasn't barely 7k posts and now you're knocking on 9k in just a few days. 1k in a few hours will be even more impressive a feat, good luck, RIP Bear.

Yeah, you missed it, about 20 pages ago. Hubby took Benadryl and I'll get to watch him snooze tonight instead. I'm over it now. He promised we'll go out for sushi and a matinee tomorrow.

there's a CW song about I'm not as good as I once was, but as good once as I ever was. I always though that isn't necessarily saying much.

Roanoke rhymes with Ocracoke so that's what got me. I was offered a job in the Outer Banks. I almost took but but cost-probative. I was offered a job in Key Largo too but again cost-prohibitive. If I had been single and looking to par-tay I might've taken the Key Largo job.

If it's going to be in August, go Northwest. Too hot in the SW that time of year.

A grad school colleague of mine took a planning job in the Florida Keys. I don't know if he's still there - the last time I saw him was at an APA conference in NYC in 1999(?).
