Syracuse, back from the dead even in the Big East over the last four years and winner of the Pinstripe Bowl over West Virginia (and the vaunted Geno Smith) this year, just lost the engineer of their resurrection, head coach Doug Marrone, to the NFL's Buffalo Bills where he'll take over as head coach from the fired Chan Gailey. Good news for the Bills, NOT so good news for the Orange.
Oh, yeah, tonight's the night for the big BCS bash. I'm rooting for ND simply because I hate Nick Saban.

I am rooting for injuries. I probably won't even watch the game. I hardly watched last years 1 vs 3 SEC title game/National Championship.

At the half...Alabama 28, Notre Dame 0

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Notre Dame didn't belong in this game to begin with.
FWIW this is the 2nd year in a row I correctly predicted Alabama as national champs on here.
I was rooting for the Catholics, but I respect the excellent game plated by the Rolling Tide. Good job Alabama.

Nick Saban is a horrible person, but an insanely good recruiter and coach. Congrats to the SEC.... again.
I like the future though, as this year it was pretty clear the SEC wasn't the same as it has been in the past. Let the trash talking for 2013 begin!

Also, I did want to note that there was only one undefeated team in college football this year.... now who could that be?

A common mistake people make when trying to design something completely foolproof is to underestimate the ingenuity of complete fools. -Douglas Adams
I found you a new motto from a sign hanging on their wall…"Drink coffee: do stupid things faster and with more energy"
Now the undefeated teams of ND vs OSU might have been a more competitive game, but there is no way in hell either team was better than 'Bama. It would have been a travesty if one those soft schedule teams had won the BCS Championship.
Let's see,....Final AP Poll says 3 of the Top 5, 5 of the Top Ten and 7 in the Top 25 are from the SEC. That's nearly half or the whole conference!
This keeps up, they might as well just count the SEC conference championship game as the National Title Game.

I'm pulling for Michigan to move to the SEC. I saw how much better A&M got when they moved from the Big 12.

AP can't even get it close to right after the season! Best argument for a play-off yet.
