    2012 Super Bowl

    Pats are in again.

Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Pats v. SF would be my ideal game.... we shall see...

Looks like Joe Biden didn't misspeak after all when he said that the Giants were going to win. Just said it in the wrong city. Giants & New England, yawn. Might as well be Red Sox & Yankees. I don't have a dog in this hunt.

Well too bad. I guess the Giants will be okay to watch... I like Victor Cruz at least...

I am rooting for the Pat's... not sure why. I guess I actually like Tom Brady, even if he did go to THAT school up north....

I know a lot of folks wanted to see the 49ers make it since it has been so long for them to be in the Super Bowl (at least among the teams playing yesterday), but I was hoping for the Pats/Giants game. I like Tom Brady and Eli Manning has had a damn good season... especially in the 3rd and 4th quarters of his games. I also think the Giants' defense has been really underrated (or maybe they are just inconsistent). Either way, I think this could turn into a really good game.

I have zero interest in football, but my husband is thrilled that the Giants are actually going to the Super Bowl this year. We should have a party ... wait a minute, I think the Super Bowl is going to be on my birthday!

Good for the teams that are in. I have no interest in the game and I am unlikely to watch.

I do love it that those East Coast teams and fans have to go to Indianapolis for the Super Bowl. Might make everyone forget about the crappy weather in Dallas last year.

I was thinking the same. Looks like it's gonna be a cross cultural experiece for all.

There will no shortage of hick jokes being made by the respective NY/Boston sports media outlets, I'll guarantee you that.

Its a decent excuse to gather with friends, eat, drink, and be merry (and laugh at the commercials).

Quite an uninteresting (to me) match-up, but I guess I'll probably still watch the game.

    Maybe.

When do pitchers and catchers report?

What time does the game actually start?

I mean KICK-OFF, not the pregame introductions, coaches analysis, bad rendition of the National Anthem, pregame preshow, preshow defensive keys to the game, preshow offensive threats, Eli vs. Brady rundown of stats, and the old retired players wordspeak!

    10pm...

I think the kick off is 6:30... but who knows.

I'm thinking that the NFL should start leaking the game highlights early and then just show the commercials for entertainment.
