Seeking book on history of development in Los Angeles

Does anything out there exist in the vein of "The Power Broker"? Particularly interested in development post-WWII to today (or as far as book goes).

The Reluctant Metropolis: The Politics of Urban Growth in Los Angeles by William Fulton is 10 years old now, but still a solid and entertaining read on the history of LA development.

Dolores Hayden's "The Power of Place: Urban Landscapes as Public History" focuses on LKos Angeles and the cultural histories of a few specific communities. There is a bunch of info in there about LA history, though Planning History is not necessarily the focus. Its more about how to read the landscape to uncover public history, usin LA as an example.
