    Greetings from Louisiana!

Hello everyone, I am a graduate student, currently halfway done with obtaining a Masters in Urban Planning. Originally from Baton Rouge, I joined this site to gain insight into the profession. I had hoped to get a job back home as a planner when I graduate, but there aren't many openings with local governments. I'm interested in learning about other areas of the country where I may be able to snag a job as a planner with a city or county government, since I would prefer to work on land use plans and zoning issues.

    Hello, from Dallas, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
