All can agree European planning is far in advance of that found in North America. The question we must ask ourselves is why.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Americans have no sense of design or colour when it comes to architecture, and they spread ridiculous rumours about us in Europe which paint us as a backwards society. They're the backwards society!! ...What with their sprawling suburbs and monster trucks. God Save the Queen!

It's because they're lazy, insular, and lack passports. The Amerikkkan planners come from an immature, violent culture - unlike the superior, peace-loving nations of Europe. Even their diets reflect this:

    schnitzel, polenta = cultured, refined

chicken fried steak, grits = primitive, violent
You can grow ideas in the garden of your mind.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
