    how do you account for the obvious inferiority of american planners?



    All can agree European planning is far in advance of that found in North America. The question we must ask ourselves is why.
    People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate.     Americans have no sense of design or colour when it comes to architecture, and they spread ridiculous rumours about us in Europe which paint us as a backwards society. They're the backwards society!! ...What with their sprawling suburbs and monster trucks. God Save the Queen!

    It's because they're lazy, insular, and lack passports. The Amerikkkan planners come from an immature, violent culture - unlike the superior, peace-loving nations of Europe. Even their diets reflect this:

    schnitzel, polenta = cultured, refined

    chicken fried steak, grits = primitive, violent
