    Trip reduction ordinance

A very quick post: has anyone here ever hear of a trip reduction ordinance? How does it work?

    An ordinance? hmmm.....

You can put in place plans and the promotion of travel demand measures (TDM). But ordinances? Short of shrinking the number of required parking spaces (which will most likely result in issues of people parking illegally) I don't understand it either.

I can't imagine it working without unprecedented regional coordination and redevelopment.
