Cyburbia is # 9 on Top 20 International Urban Planning Websites 2012

    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

I like their description of us, but I have a very hard time respecting a list that places that other planning site as #1. In my entire career I have yet to have gotten anything useful from that site--not even an article to share with a Commissioner. It ranks right up there with APA's Planning magazine in terms of usefulness to places not located in the pacific northwest or the northeast.

I'm not asking for Cyburbia to be #1 (not a fair request considering the list is international and Cyburbia has a decidedly North American focus), but the other planning site is overvalued because they have some big name academics writing for them, regardless of quality.

"Oh, that is all well and good, but, voice or no voice, the people can always be brought to the bidding of the leaders. That is easy. All you have to do is tell them they are being attacked and denounce the pacifists for lack of patriotism and exposing the country to danger. It works the same way in any country."

....they are as close to spam and toll-free that you can get.
Yep, Cyburbia is close to toll-free. Better punctuation and grammar would help the descriptions, too.

I'm just happy to see Dan getting some props for all his work over the years. International recognition is a good thing, except for all those spammers.

Yes-this is major props for Dan. The ranking isn't bad considering we're more the street level bureaucrats instead of the acedemic types.

I cannot believe "Rebuilding Place in the Urban Space" made #20. I saw the author describe a handicap ramp installed on a historic building as rape...in a public meeting.
