The final print issue of the Planning Commissioners Journal is available. This August we'll be "reopening" as an all online, membership-based publication & resource. We will be posting an announcement on Cyburbia as soon as information is available.

You won’t want to miss our final print issue. Our feature article is titled: “Just What Do Planning Commissioners Do?” In it, we look back at what our contributing writers have had to say over the past twenty years about the roles and responsibilities of planning commissioners. We think this article provides a great overview -- and will be of especial interest to citizen planners wherever you live.

Also included in our Spring issue: eight of our columnists briefly speak to the challenges and opportunities planning commissions and their communities will be facing in the years ahead.

Finally, several months ago we invited our readers to tell us about their home town, about how their planning commission functions, and about what they see as the most significant issues facing their community. We’re pleased to be able to include in our Spring issue short reports from seven of our readers. Personally, I found it fascinating to hear from readers in very different kinds of communities, and get a feel for what’s similar -- and what’s different.

RIP print version; Long live on-line version. PJC rules! We slash budgets to the bone, management says cut another 20%. Wayne knows our troubles all too well.
