    Sugar Hiiiiiiiiighs!!!!!

I don't tend to eat a lot of sugary substances so when I do I can almost pinpoint the moment it enters my bloodstream. La la la la LAAAAAAAAA!

Are you prone to sugar highs?

I remember reading - SQUIRREL! - about a study that showed that there was no evidence about the effects of sugar on children. Apparently they didn't include my nephew in that study. You can totally tell when he has ingested large amounts of sugary substances.

No, but I do tend to overdose on coffee every now and then.

I can't recall having a sugar high myself.

My mom and I once took my son and one of my nieces (who was maybe 8) for a weekend at Disney World between Thanksgiving and Christmas, which translates into "free" hot chocolate and cookies all over the place. Mom let the niece ingest nothing but sugar for 2 days. She was comatose in my kid's stroller both afternoons after being on fast forward for hours, with a repeat of the sequence in the late afternoon/evening hours. Not a fun trip.

You know I try to avoid them.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

I keep reading the title of this thread as "Super Hiiiiiighs!!!!" and it takes me back to grad school days when I lived with three other guys in a house in Ann Arbor.
Back home just in time for hockey season!

Ahhh, you must have had an upstairs apartment and were therefore living up high. I see.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor
