    Come On, You Slackers!

Come on, you slackers! My first submitted quote was easy. It is from Meatloaf's Bat Out Of Hell 2, To Hell And Back. It is from the tune "Everything louder than everything else". Let's try another.....

"Girl, you let your knickers down."

Quote is from music. Next time I will slide in a political quote.

okay, how about this for a political one (hint - spoken by our 37 1/2 President):

    "I am in control"
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

According to my sources, the actual quote is:

"As of now, I am in control here in the White House." Alexander Meigs Haig Jr.

    From Wiki:

Constitutionally, gentlemen, you have the President, the Vice President and the Secretary of State in that order, and should the President decide he wants to transfer the helm to the Vice President, he will do so. He has not done that. As of now, I am in control here, in the White House, pending return of the Vice President and in close touch with him. If something came up, I would check with him, of course.
Strange view of the Constitution. I think there is something about the Speaker of the House. But I could be wrong.
    Annoyingly insensitive

    Oddball
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
    From Kelly's Heroes (1970)

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
    From Electric Horseman (1979)

OK, upon further listening it appears that this Bear's somewhat olde and distorted hearing heard it as ".....shock.....". This 1984 video of Sly & The Family Stone presents the correction. Give me a break, none of you guessed it anyway.

Always thought that Sly's story would be a great topic for a rock musical, perhaps call it "Higher"......for the reference to this tune and Sly's drug troubles.
