    The NEVERENDING beer price thread

Seems if we can have a thread dedicated to something as trivial as gas prices we should be able to have a similar one about a product of greater consequence.

    as of 7/4/12:
24 oz. can of PBR $1.19
six pack of Bell's Amber Ale $8.99
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    Hmmm......beer (Homer)

At our local "Beer Store" (no beer in corner stores in Ontario) 12 Corona, Heineken etc. is $22.95. Cheapest beer is around $32 for 24. That's how we pay for healthcare. Sin taxes.

    I don't smoke, but cigarettes are around $8 a pack I think.

^ Uh oh. I hope that isn't how we're going to have to pay for Obamacare.

Local grocery store now regularly carries 24 oz cans of Genessee Beer. Cost: 99 cents

I don't know if it applies to all of NY or just NYC, but last time I was there I saw packs of cigarettes for $13-15. I'm sure glad I don't smoke.

Expedition Stout is heady stuff to be sure, but at $16 a six pack it's definitely at the top end of what I'm willing to fork over for a six pack.

Seems that the standard price for a 12 of Sam Adams (when it is on sale) is about 13.00.

Recently I found that Costco has awesome prices on Beer. In many cases, it is about $1.00 to $1.50 per beer.
