    Market for transportation planners

Six months after being laid off from my last job, I am still on the job market. I've been applying to an an average of about 3 jobs per week now for over 24 weeks, or about 75 job applications. Out of those 75 applications, I got a handful of interviews but no job offers.

Any other unemployed transportation planners out there and what' s your experience been like?

    Market for Transportation Planners

When I was laid off in 2008, I was able to do traffic studies for various developments with 2 engineering firms that I knew. It wasn't much, but kept me busy until I found full time employment.

Well, I i finally have a tenative job offer after almost nine months, so I am relieved. It's tenative in that's it a government job, so it's only really dependent upon me passing the background investigation.
