Hey all! I figured I'd get some feedback here. I have been admitted to 4/5 programs I applied to (UCLA MURP, UCI MURP, Cal Poly SLO MCRP, and UCSB Bren School MESM--rejected from Berkeley's MUP program).

I applied to the Bren School because an advisor recommended it as a backup choice (and having done my B.S. there, I have some connections) but looking at the remaining programs I am pretty set on a MUP program rather than the MESM program that the Bren School offers. UC Irvine has offered me a $5000 fellowship for my first t a bwo quarters, and I'd be able to save money by living at home while completing the program. I'm holding out a bit for good news regarding financial aid from UCLA, as I'm interested in their community housing focus and would like to end up in the Los Angeles area for the longer term. Can anyone shed any insider knowledge on strengths/weaknesses of these two programs?

Thanks! I hope to meet some of you this coming fall, regardless of where I end up.

    -A

Got accepted from the University of Oregon and rejected by Hunter College. Thought about taking a year off and working a job/internships but have decided that I want to get back to school, so I'll be attending the University of Oregon come fall. Pretty excited about it.

    SUNY Albany

Question for anyone who's applied to SUNY Albany

How long did it take for you to hear back?

I applied back on March 10 and haven't heard anything yet. I know I'm giving it a bit of a short turn around time, but they require decisions regarding Fin Aid and funding by 4/15.

Just heard back from them today. Accepted and will be contacted about potential assistantships ect.

So that makes me 4 for 4

Ball State (full assistantship w/ tuition waiver)
Pratt ($5000 scholarship per year w/ offer to interview for fellowship at the Pratt Center)
New Orleans ($12,000 scholarship per year w/ another scholarship and assistantship pending university approval)
    Albany (???)

Time to start making some tough decisions.

I still have received no word from UT Austin. My application is still "under review". They've already had their open house for admitted students.... -_- this is absurd.

I'd shoot them an email and ask about it.

This happened to me with UNC. I've E-mailed and called and my professor has asked a contact about my application but I have not heard directly since I submitted my app. Most people say I've likely been waitlisted since they haven't outright rejected me.

    UIC

    Hey,

Are there any UIC students out there? Do you like the program? Do most people take classes part time? (I saw they're scheduled in the evenings)
