Every competitive swimmer pees in the pool. An Olypmic sized pool is over 1/2 million gallons of water and pee is mostly water, sterile and the pool has so many chemicals in it that the little bit of pee does not matter. Plus I have yet to meet a swim coach that allows bathroom breaks unless you are about to shit yourself. Hink, back me up on this one.

We're watching the women's platform diving competition. I don't think they're in the water long enough to pee. Now that cooling off tub to the back of the pool...well that's another matter altogether that I don't want to think about.

Just 3 more days of this Bear's vacation. Not quite the vacation from hell.....a level better.....the vacation from heck. Running a fever some of the days, multiple doctor appointments, a nighttime cough that just won't go away. We are not sure if it is an innie or an outie. Still too small to tell. It took Monster about 24 hours to figure out this place. He/she runs across the floor and flies tfrhough the air to jump on White Thing or Tazz (our other kitties). He/she thinks that Molly is "mom" and always sleeps in a little ball at Molly's side. Molly is a gentle Golden Retriever, circa +100 pounds.

Brandon Saine, who played for Ohio State and now the Packers, is the Ohio High School 100 meter record holder. We lose talent to football and basketball.... some don't even make it to the NFL, but they would rather try then go to the Olympics.... which is sad.

I admit I liked and appreciated it, but I can't help but wonder how other people in the world who have never heard of them, much less seen one of their movies or tv shows, would find the musical number postively bizarre. Dancing nuns and Roman legionaires out of any context? WTF???? (and yet fellow Python-ers will agree that their weirdness and lack of proper context is time and again all part of the joke.... especially if you're not in on it)

I thought the closing ceremonies were pretty bad overall, but the Python portion was the best. I don't understand why they didn't get bigger bands... really George Michael, Jessie J, and that boy band? You couldn't get Coldplay or Adele? It is the freaking Olympic closing ceremony....I thought it was brilliant, especially when the Indian bhangra dancers came out and he was imitating them
Oh and Rio's portion stunk as well. Why they didn't go Carnival themed and crazy I don't know.... but we shall see if Rio was a good choice (which I personally don't think it was) or a huge mistake on a grand scale. London got the games finished on time... the big question is will Rio?

I had fun watching the closing ceremony, it was like a wild 2.5 hour halftime show. Much better than the reverent opening ceremony.
I would have liked to see Russell Brand swapped out for Sir Elton John though.
It was spacey, kept moving, and looked like tons of fun!
