Which is your favorite ?
Which is your favorite ?
Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?
From Kelly's Heroes (1970)
Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.
From Electric Horseman (1979)
Here are a couple of my favorites from the list:
They have no recollection of when Arianna Huffington was a conservative (remember when she and Al Franken were Strange Bedfellows providing commentary during the 1996 presidential campaign?)
Martin Lawrence has always been banned from hosting Saturday Night Live (I had no idea that he was banned... now I need to find the offending skit!)
They have had to incessantly remind their parents not to refer to their CDs and DVDs as “tapes.” (my wife laughs at me when I refer to the shows recorded on our DVR as being taped )
Robert De Niro is thought of as Greg Focker's long-suffering father-in-law, not as Vito Corleone or Jimmy Conway (that's just sad)
On a related note, I was out on a walk with my daughter yesterday evening and we went past one of the local high schools and there was a sign out front that read, "Welcome Class of 2016!" Reading that, while walking with a 2-year-old and realizing that is 20 years after your own graduation is like a kick in the gut.
"Where free unions and collective bargaining are forbidden, freedom is lost." - 1980 Republican presidential candidate Ronald Reagan
In the Beloit, WI area - I-43 has always ended at I-39/90 on the city's east side. (Note, as late as the 1980s, it was I-90 and WI 15 - I-43 replaced WI 15 in the 1980s and I-39 was added to I-90 in the late 1990s.)
I like the one about the Packers, BTW. I was at the first 'Lambeau Leap™ game - it was the Raiders at Green Bay in 1993. Even better, they have no direct memory of the Packers winning Super Bowl XXXI in 1997 - they were all 2 and 3 years old then.
A few more:
-'ASL', is that a new sports league?
-Speaking of sports, they have never seen the USA host:
--The Summer Olympic Games
--The FIFA World Cup
(corollary to the second one)
-There has always been a sports league called 'Major League Soccer' ('MLS') in North America.

The Big Dig in Boston has always been the Rose Kennedy Greenway, and not the largest construction project in the country (however, they are still paying for it.)
