    new-ish

Hello all, I've lurked for awhile but decided maybe I should post too. I'm a graduate student and like to wander over here for a dose of reality now and then (thanks, Chocolate Chip!). Don't harbor any illusions about getting a great job in planning once I graduate, but I've had a few internships and think I might volunteer on a board post-graduation since I like thinking about zoning.

Also, I like to make maps. That is all.

    Hello, from Dallas, TX!
"We do not need any other Tutankhamun's tomb with all its treasures. We need context. We need understanding. We need knowledge of historical events to tie them together. We don't know much. Of course we know a lot, but it is context that's missing, not treasures." - Werner Herzog, in Archaeology, March/April 2011
