I know fall starts when I see large sedans with license plates from the upper Midwest and Canada driving with the left turn signal on.

I couldn't find my running pants this morning but decided to hit the pavement anyway. It was 33º at 5:20 a.m. when I stepped outside. It took a few miles for my legs to warm up. I may need to invest in a new pair of running pants.

Looks like were about at peak colors right now or pretty darned close.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

We spent the weekend in West Michigan and if the colors over there are not at peak right now, I cannot imagine how vibrant they must get in the coming days. Metro Detroit looks downright drab by comparison.
