2. My office is getting messy and I promised myself I wouldn't do that
3. I saw a picture on Facebook of my daughter (19 yo) smoking at a party
4. I have had 2 different people blow off lunch/breakfast appointments with me this week
5. so happy about the elections
6. a little freaked of what the backlash would be
7. I need to get a better bedtime ritual - falling asleep too late and waking at the last second to get ready is a pain in the neck
8. I am incredibly lonely living alone during the week (there, I said it)
9. was this 10 secrets thursday? LOL

6. Going to an arts fundraiser tonight. I'm not sure how long I'll last with my knee.

10. I want some tea but I have ice on my knee and don't want to get up.

7. Tonight will be the third night meeting in a row, I'm tired

1. The air has gotten really dry in the past few days

4. Several major deliverables, including a couple public meetings coming up over few weeks have been stressing me out
5. This is always my busiest time of the year
6. Sometime I wish I hadn’t taken on added responsibilities at work
7. Other times I really enjoy it
8. I could use a mental health day but don’t dare take one
9. If I had a day off I would probably just spend it blowing stuff up on the xbox
10. Borderlands 2 is my current game of choice

1. Tonight's sunset is really beautiful... too bad my DH has the camera.
2. I am so glad I discovered an alternate route home before the bridge construction started.
3. I hate getting stuck behind a truck loaded with sand and/or gravel that is spilling over the sides.
4. I heard a new song by Graham Parker and the Rumour on the radio... I used to listen to them around 1979 or '80.
5. It amazes me that I can recall the lyrics to songs I haven't heard in three or more decades when they're played on the radio.
6. I feel guilty because my bird feeders are almost empty and I won't have a chance to get more bird seed and suet until the weekend.
7. It's time to put another blanket on the bed... not because it's cold but because the dog keeps hogging the top sheet!
8. I've had a pretty good week.
9. There is no way in hell I'll be able to retire at age 65.
10. I have no idea what sancocho is.

1. Have a meeting tonight for everyone that's going to direct a radio show
2. I took some cough syrup before going to bed and I still feel kinda spacey this morning.
3. mind you, that's not entirely a bad thing
4. I have about two minutes weekday mornings where I get to play with Junior - usually he wants to shoot each other with nerf guns
5. Junior got a good report card and we heard encouraging remarks at parent teacher conferences so he got taken out to dinner at the place of his choice - Old Country Buffet
6. I wish I could eat fish, but I am deathly allergic
7. most people have certain phrases they habitually go to and end up overusing. Mrs. Maister's is "to be perfectly honest"
8. I am beginning to emerge from the darkness that has filled me the last several weeks
9. I feel like I have too many commitments at times
10. I really need to talk to my writers about getting some better material for me

1. I started the Turkey Day menu/shopping list last night.
2. Instead of going away after Xmas, my wife and I might have a New Years party instead.
3. I went out last Friday night with some friends, and friends of friends.
4. After witnessing some behavior that evening, I realize why I prefer simple meals with friends as opposed to going out in a group to the bars.
5. Does that make me old at 34?
6. And by "behavior", I don't mean anything horrible, just stupid drunk sloppiness.
7. We purchased an IKEA Kvartal Panel Track system to cover our door wall.
8.. It was cheaper than vertical blinds, plus I can't stand vertical blinds.
9. Now I just need to install it.
10. For some reason, I have a great sense of optimism about how the "fiscal cliff" will be resolved.

1. I've been thinking today is Friday, only to be disappointed
2. Weekend plans have been changed for me
3. Thanksgiving plans have been made for me
4. I guess I'm not in control of my life right now
5. Our dog found a school library book and chewed it up
6. The rain and wind has really brought down alot of leaves - deck is now covered
7. I'd like some issues to be resolved sooner than later
8. I don't think anything will happen until after the first of the year in that matter
9. I guess 'Fiscal Cliff' is the new political buzzword talking point

2. Our son has permanent hearing loss from blown ear drums and I feel responsible

5. My workload has gotten too much (again)

7. The responses to the Secret Santa questions are hilarious
8. I love running Secret Santa
9. My daughter sprained her wrist yesterday
10. Pray our refinance goes through!

1. I'm not doing Secret Santa this year because of a history of those that don't play fair.
2. I ate a donut this morning because it was an employee's birthday.
3. I refinanced the last three years of my car loan today to save me over $50 a month on the payment.
4. Who ever heard of refinancing a car loan?
5. I blew out of the office early today to sign the refinance papers.
6. My planning commission meeting had five items on the agenda today including one text amendment to the comp plan and one to the LDRs.
7. The planning commission meeting lasted 30-minutes.
8. It still surprises sometimes how much authority I have over the commission. In other words, they listen to me.
9. I hate this cold, overcast, clammy weather.
10. I'm taking tomorrow off to golf for a couple of days in Sandestin.

1. Big meetings are over with, feel like I can breathe again
2. Now onto the next critical project
3. Hopefully heading to Montreal this weekend for a romantic getaway/Christmas shopping trip
4. We are up to “A View to a Kill” in our chronological watching of all the James Bond films
5. Should have taken today off, mainly for the football. Guess I’ll just have to follow on-line
6. Canadian Thanksgiving was last month ago but I could so do another big turkey dinner
7. Eating is my favourite part of any holiday
8. Finally broke through the 190 lb barrier in the “good” (i.e. downward) direction
9. Hopefully I don’t put the weight back on over the holiday season
10. Happy American Thanksgiving, eh?

1. People should not speak when their mouth is full.
2. Hubby did the Turkey Trot this morning while I cheered.
3. I was sad that I wasn't running along side him.
4. People in Wisconsin are very nice but also very reserved.
5. I was the only person cheering on people I didn't know.
6. My knee still hurts.
7. I am thankful for many many things including my in-laws.
8. Thanksgiving with my in-laws means none of my mom's pumpkin pie or my grandmother's cranberry sauce.
9. Instead we're having scalloped corn and coleslaw.
10. Tranplanner, I wish you could join us. I'd be happy to share some turkey and coleslaw with you!

1. Mrs. Maister is still too sick to 'do' Thanksgiving today, so we're going to have a vastly scaled down dinner on Saturday with immediate family
2. It was nice being able to watch the parades without interruption this year.
3. Junior got bored with the (Macy's) parade after about 40 minutes, but got a small bump in interest when the balloons came on
4. even though there is no feast today I still intend to bust out a bottle of Christmas mead tonight that I got last Thanksgiving
5. it was fun doing that 'ask me anything' thread. Other folks might want to try it some time
6. I have not thought about work at all today (until this moment). Thats a Good Thing
7. Watched 'my life with turkeys' on PBS last night. Very interesting - that guy lives with a lot of different types of animals but I get the impression he's not overly fond of humans
8. we're having leftover Chicago style pizza for dinner tonight

2. I saw a really friendly and smart hund sitting in the drivers seat of the car next to me at the grocery store. He was looking at me with great inerest so I said "hi" and he said 'huffff' (translated: 'hi') back

4. I seem to recall they actually made an M&M commercial that obliquely referenced the whole 'green M&M' myth thing
5. I'm a bit inarticulate today for some reason
6. I am doing sound effects for the upcoming performance of "It's a Wonderful Life"

6. One of our friends was just giving us grief for making her use hand sanitizer before holding the baby.
7. The next day she posted on FB that her son has the flu and is throwing up all over her house.

9. Invited my parents to stay in Maine for a week with us this coming fall.

6. You don't see cigar boxes used as miscellaneous household storage containers as often now as you did say 40 years ago

8. On the one hand I like having old vinyl and cassette tapes to listen to. OTOH I hate having to store them
9. I watched 'Scrooged' last night for the first time since it came out. I found it to be rather lame

1. Got the $$ from the guy who backed into my car no problem, but
2. The collision shop "lost" my estimate so I have to go back and get a new quote
3. I'm still not in the Christmas spirit and probably won't be until at least the 24th
4. I bought a bow tie last week and will be wearing it to the office party on Friday
5. It seemed like a good idea at the time
6. I could eat pizza every day and probably never get sick of it
7. Mrs. Tranplanner got the whole week off a Christmas so now we're heading to see her family for a week
8. I'm overjoyed at the prospect of spending a week with them

10. I sound like I'm a joyless prick but I'm actually in a good mood.

2. I wish it would hurry up and snow already.
3. We put the second Christmas tree up last night (our artificial one). We call it the 'blue tree' because all the ornaments are either blue and/or white
4. I ate a bacon, egg, cheese biscuit from McDonalds this a.m.
5. Want to get some evil looks? It's easy, just drive through a trailer park in a city car.
6. I intentionall held off on eating things like bacon, egg, cheese biscuits for the past week because I had to take a blood test on Monday for my annual physical
7. I know I'm not as funny as I sometimes appear to think I am
8. I wish I had a Nepalese flag to display out front. Talk about a cool national flag
9. I am actually dreading the upcoming radio show season a bit...which begs the question, why am I still involved?
10. I think Michigan is the best state to experience the winter season in for a host of reasons
