1. Evidently I'm the only morning person in our house (& that includes the dog)
2. I ate a PopTart for b'fast this morning
3. I've talked one of the ladies upstairs into feeding the 'office cat' during our days off
4. Tomorrow should prove to be interesting
5. I won a t-shirt last night at a random draw
6. Mom will be here in a week & the wife is in full cleaning mode
7. What would TS do without us
8. Bowling seaon (football games) start this Saturday
9. I forgot to take the porkchops out of the freezer this morning
10. I love my car

1. I consumed something foul at a holiday party last night and woke up and retched around 2 a.m.
2. The likely culprit was meat pie
3. I am wearing black pants today, and I would say that 95% of the time I wear khakis
4. I went to the Paper Store the other day to look for a gift for my mom, and I don't think the place is aptly named
5. I don't like how all the "crossover" SUVs look the same
6. The in-laws (well, GF's parents) are in town so I might have some things which require me to stay at work late tonight
7. I wish our secretary wasn't so damn lazy
8. I am glad that I made the playoffs in CFFL
9. I am going to Niagara Falls for NYE

1. I am finally warming to the holiday season. Cookie exchanges, parties and Tourtière will do that to me.

4. Got hit with a slapshot right below my shin pad last night. Hurts like a mother, going to be a nice bruise.
5. Is it weird to be totally non-religious and yet be stoked to be a godparent? Guess I see it more as being a guardian.
6. It's really hard to make ten totally random, unconnected observations. Even Maister couldn't do it.
7. I love my Mini but holy crap does even simple maintenance cost $$$ at the dealer.
8. I wish there was a bigger movement to celebrate Winter Solstice instead of Christmas. I'd totally be down with that.

1. I've been quite sleepy this week.
2. Both of my daughters got hit with a stomach bug within the past week, but both bounced back within a day.
3. Taking the girls to see Santa at school tomorrow night.
4. Xmas shopping still not done, but getting close.

6. I often wonder where my family went wrong and why we are not close with one another.
7. No exterior Xmas lights up, but there's a wreath on the front door, so that's good enough, right?

10. Santa may come early at our house this year so we can leave early and head south.

5. I might drive to a dark part of my county tonight to watch the meteor shower.
6. My 17 year old son tells me that he's buying a used BMW.
7. I'd like to see my KY relatives.
8. The secretary convinced me to buy a lottery ticket with her.
9. I can't believe that there's only one more work week until Christmas.

1) Home-style chicken noodle soup for lunch today with a healthy dose of tabasco, and crackers. Yum!
2) I have enough cash to get me through today.
3) Payday tomorrow. Thank goodness.
4) I didn't watch any of the 12/12/12 concert either.
5) Found an old office Christmas card we used to pass around from year-to-year: Fleas navidog!
6) I'm still jealous of RJ and his trip aboard USS Truman.
7) Off tomorrow to await a plumber and an appliance repairman. The need for both is not related.
8) My son is already taking HS final exams.
9) I've bought a few Christmas gifts, but have a ways to go.
10) Weatherman is talking about a possible white Christmas here. I fall for it every year. And it never snows at Christmas here.

3. I'm thinking about posting a 'Toon of the day' thread so some of us oldsters can turn the young'uns to all the great (violent) Warner Bros toon we watched as kids
4. I see that Spiro Agnew died in 1996. I don't recall hearing about his passing at that time

1. Before heading out the door to go to work, I ate a handful of the leftover popcorn from last night...big mistake, I've had annoying kernels stuck in my gums all morning
2. I don't know what it is about people under 35, but anectdotally it seems this cohort has greater difficulty with the correct use and spelling of homonyms than my generation. Their just no good at it.

1) Writing a "hurry up" CMAQ application. Learned about it at lunch, it's due Monday. Um, we're called planners, not miracle workers.
2) Gray, wet, and dreary outside. Supposed to get quite warm this weekend, but lots of rain, too.Up to 4" in places. The long term forecast is for the weather to turn seriously cold toward the end of the month. Maybe we'll get snow then.
3) My son did pretty well on his first go-round on the PSAT. He can do better though. He knows it, too. It'll be interesting to see how he does on the next one. Geez, how am I going to pay for college? Yikes!
4) It was a fun closing day for the RTDNOTO7 thread. It still makes me sad thinking 'bout BUN, though. I think Hink had 3x as many posts there on the 31st as I had all year!
5) I was squeamish about adjusting my daughter's MARA but it's actually real easy.
6) The County Recorder advised me there's a big screw-up on a recorded plat. That's what happens when you record a plat without the Planning Director's signature or stamp. State law actually says the plat is void.
7) You don't care about "6)", do you?
8) I'd be jealous, but you could never get me to ride in a submarine. No way, no how I want go deep underwater. Uh, uh.
9) I need saltines but I don't want to go to the grocery for that and that only. I also don't want to go to Walgreens since the last time I bought some there, they appeared to have been baked during WWII. Stale, much?
