    I Want to Be...

It occurs to me that at their core, people want something basic. They want one thing more than any of the other things.

My Want, is to be Loved. I realize that I want other things too, but what drives my decisions - conscious and otherwise - is almost always that Wanting to be loved. My wife, at the core, wants to be Free. The difference between what we Want seems to drive a lot of conflict and causes misunderstandings between us.

Other people want and are driven by other things, like to be Respected, to be Free, to be In Control, Understood, and on and on.

Tell me what you think. What do you Want, Cyburbians? I'm interested.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

    That's a really good question.
To be interested in things. To be in nature.
Surely we as planners could remember this as we deal with the publics...

I'm not sure how to phrase what I want in one word, but what I really want is for myself and other humanoids to consider how our life decisions impact the rest of the world at every level and to remember the scope and scale of life and our place in the universe.

I just want to know what I want to be. I don't think that I ever have but I've eliminated a lot of options trying to find out.

    to Understand
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

I want to be...content. Seems I am always worrying about the next thing or what already happened and not so much on what IS happening. Contentment. That's the answer. That and beer. I also want that.

I don't wanna be anything other than what I've been trying to be lately.
