    1. Was planning to get a tree on Sunday but it was raining all day so no tree yet.
    2. Going to get a small tree because I’ll most likely be carrying it in/out myself.
    3. Am working on a planning project that overall is pretty interesting but there’s one task that is so boring it’s killing me.
    4. Hence I am thinking about Christmas trees.
    5. Chinchillas are super cute.

    1. I think a wayfinding sign presentation should be titled "I'll tell you where to go"
    2. Had to go to sprawlmart at lunch - I hate that place

    2. popsicles are a cool idea no matter how you slice it

    4. I have rode in a taxi a grand total of two times in my life
    5. I have rode on trains a grand total of three times
    People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    3. My 6 year old went to her first sleep over this past Saturday. She will not have a problem leaving home when she gets older.

    1. I am being asked to pick up the carpools today. I'll have to drive back up to work for PC meeting.

    2. I am rewarding myself with a burger on the way.

    3. I have never been in a union unless you count my marriage.

    4. I have not been in a taxi since a very rainy day 20 years ago in Argentina.

    5. I need to find time in the next two days to meet up with Tide while he's in SLC!

    1. Spent the morning dealing with a flat tire on the wife's car
    2. Completed a contract that ensures Christmas will occur at our house
    3. Weather is too cold for my taste but at least it's sunny and dry
    4. Grandson's 2nd birthday is this Saturday, got to get something for him
    5. Ack, Christmas is only 10 days after that!

    1, My wife works in my office on Mondays and Tuesdays
    2. I'm glad we don't work together all the time
    3. I'm not used to explaining where I'm going or why
    4. Wednesday thru Friday is less stressful

    1. Our cat seems to be much happier now that she's had most of her teeth removed (her breath is better, too).
    2. For the second day in a row, our neighborhood is enveloped in a thick fog.
    3. I just discovered that one of my cousins is on Facebook under a South Park alias.
    4. I may be spending Christmas Day loading software onto my new computer... unless it arrives late.

    1. Just finished a project today that has lasted 6 weeks.
    2. Office Christmas Social is tomorrow
    3. Little Debbie Oatmeal Creme Pies is awesome

    1. We went to the orthopedic doc today and found out that SeaMonkey's hips are all healed up
    2. I am done Christmas shopping as of 5 minutes ago.
    3. Maybe santa will bring me a gym membership (and the money to pay for it )
    4. I am a little tired of hearing about gun rights.

    Excellent news about SeaMonkey

    Babies have the uncanny ability to puke on you at the most inopportune times. Arabella was a reliable spitter just until recently, RT swears that it only happened when she was holding her.

    I'm drinking an Ebel's Weiss Beer from Two Brothers (Warrenville, IL)
    I recently purchased a Venus Fly Trap
    Still no measurable snow in Chicago, should get some Thursday which is the day I was planning on taking a day trip to Milwaukee
    I rode the Holiday Train today on the CTA, though I'm pretty sure Christmas is the only holiday represented
    Third day eating chicken curry and I still have some left over for 1 or 2 more meals

    First 5 things to 2013!

    1. I wonder if Buddhism will help my outlook on life.
    2. Looking forward to a Godiva Chocolixir in NYC.
    3. Hubby's Navy schedule is messing with possible surgery dates.
    4. We have a meeting on the 24th with our adoption social worker.
    5. I messed with my clock this morning and some how changed the time so that I got up for work at 6:15 rather than 7:15.

    Bonus:
    6. After I realized my mistake I got back in bed to catch more zzzzz'z.

    2. I got this love-hate thing going on with beer
    3. I'm glad no one considers me the den leader for my son's cub scout group (although I am nominally the "co-den leader")

    2. Some of my poetry is going to get included in a local anthology/collection.
    3. People keep telling me I look like I've lost weight. I think they are just being polite
    4. I agree with Maister about Elementary. It's a pretty good reimagining of the series. That and the BBC's update are both good.
    5. I think by BB is starting to go down hill but don't want to get a new phone.

    1. The sun is shining here and it warmed the inside of my work truck so much that I drove with the window down for a while.
    2. I love when I have to make a contractor do something that's on the plan, and after it's done, he can't believe how well it works.
    3. My daughter is taking an Old South history class. She knows to keep the materials and book for me to read.
    4. I might make lp's Italian soup for dinner.
    5. My mind woke up long before the rest of me did this morning; all kinds of thoughts were going through my mind.
