    The C word really sucks

I am very sad to learn of the passing of my rock 'n' rollin', fictional city drawing, Cyburbian friend and am so very sorry I never got to meet him. This just adds to the devastation, having just lost my dad yesterday (also to cancer). Rest in peace, Bear. You will be missed.

ip - very sorry to hear of your dad's passing. Mine passed away too whern I was about your age from the big C. Our thoughts & prayers are with you dude.

So sorry to hear about your loss. My thought are with you and your family during this rough time.

I'm sorry. Is my bias showing?

Let's not be didactic in this profession, because that is a path to disillusion and irrelevancy.

My condolences, illinoisplanner. I lost my dad to cancer 19 years ago this week and I tend to be in a funk this time of year because of it. My thoughts and prayers for you and your family.

I'm so sorry for your loss, illinoisplanner. I also lost my father to the big C, though I was only a child at the time.

My condolences as well, ip. Loss of a parent is tough, no matter the cause. Earlier today I was thinking about losing my dad 15 years ago.

I thought I would lose my mom to it 5 years ago. I agree. It sucks. Now its like living with a time-bomb that can go off at anytime. She was dx'd at stage four with it coursing through her lungs, neck, and brain.

So sorry to hear it ip. I'm staring down losing my dad to cancer probably next year. I wish it was something I could change for me and for you. We're all thinking of you.

Sorry for your loss IP. Cancer absolutely sucks, my baby brother is almost beat the same cancer that BUN had and my cousin is dealing with breast cancer.

Sorry about your loss, IP. I lost my dadalmost two years ago, but not to cancer. He just wore out.

I have the dubious distinction of being the only member of my family to get cancer, but it was little more than a glancing blow.

Wow...I was not expecting this. Thank you all for the condolences. Cyburbia is such a supportive community of people. I'll try to post more once I settle into a "new normal" once again.
