Make up a grocery store name

Grocery store names can be predictable - stuff like Sav-Mor, Fresh Mart, Shop 'n' Save, and so on. There's also family names, silly names like Piggy Wiggly ... you get the idea. You can tell a lot from a store name; something like "Green Harvest" is going to be a foo-foo organic store, while "Valu Mart" will look like something out of the 1960s.

In a similar vein as Piggy Wiggly, there could be ...

    Helter Skelter
    Crazy savings every day

    Heebie Jeebie
✡ Your neighborhood Kosher grocer in the Tri-State region ✡

    Harem Scarum
☪ Your neighborhood Halal grocer in the Tri-State region ☪

Head to the Southwest, and you'll find ...

    Super Cucaraceria #1 y #2 - Albuquerque
    Super Cucarachceria #3 y #4 - El Paso
Super Cucaraceria #5 - Las Cruces
    Super Cucaraceria #6 - Tucson
Mas Super Cucaraceria #7 - Houston

In Canada, the name doesn't matter, as long as there's no apostrophe so the Quebec language police stays happy, and a maple leaf somewhere in the logo for the other provinces.

The Food Emporium - located a short drive from the gated community nearest you
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

    El Rancho Mercado
    Food City
    Sprouts Market
    Fresh & Easy

The above all exist in the Phoenix area and I'm sure you can all guess what they are, generally.

Some names I'd like to see:

Crunchy as F*** - health foods store
    Crazy Eddie's Wacky Sustenance Emporium
Jethro's Gourmet Foods - don't find many purveyors of fine food taste named Jethro
    Long Dong's Chinese Market

How about a place called Chubby's?

It could sell lots of processed foods, sodas, cheeses, etc.

It could even sell gas and auto parts at the attached Spare Tire, provide dating and marital advice at Love Handles, alcohol at Beer Bellies, and medical marijuana at Pot Bellies. They could be in a strip mall with a Curves and Big Lots.

Chubby's sounds more like the name of the Adult Store.

Herman's German Butcher shop. You really don't want to know what goes into the sausage and how it's made.
