    Commercial recycling centers

I am trying to find examples of regulations to permit commercial recycling centers. Does anyone have any regulations that they are aware of and what have been the results of those regulations?

Some of the things I am looking for are related to additional screening, setbacks, utility hookups, and nuisance mitigation.

It really depends on the size of the facility, the scope of the operation and the location.

Are we talking dropoff areas for simple materials (scrap metal, cans, paper, etc), or areas where the materials may be stored for longer periods of time, and/or processed?

I can't speak for the community where I work, but a nearby city has a few commercial can/bottle return businesses that are interspersed with other retail businesses.
