    Camp Lejune drinking water notification

I know several Cyburbians are Marines - (notice I didn't say were or ex)

And this was presented as a full page ad in USA Today.

The Marine Corps encourages all those who lived or worked at Camp Lejeune before 1987 to register to receive notifications regarding Camp Lejeune Historic Drinking Water

This effort even has a FB page.

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

Before I saw the page, Ithought they were selling Camp Lejune drinking water, as if it's really good, and those who went through basic there really miss it.

Good to see that the Corps is transparent about problems with the water.

I was there long after 1987 and never lived in the family housing area, where it was supposed to be much more concentrated than among the barracks on Mainside (I did however work at the old hospital on Hadnot Point for about 2 years), but I still follow the case and developments pretty closely as I had several tumors removed when I was stationed there in 2004 (after I had been there on and off for about four years). The area my tumors were removed from was consistent with where other men were developing cancer which is generally a relatively uncommon place for men to develop it. My dad also had the same type of tumors as I did and in the same area though and he was never a Marine at Camp Lejeune so I always attribute mine more to heredity than to contaminated water.
