What's a good cheap booze to get drunk on?

It must be both palatable and affordable.
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Much better than the options available back in the day.

I don't always get drunk, but when I do I prefer cheap tequila. Stay tipsy my friends.

The lead singer for the band I was in during CalPoly loved the cheap Albertson's vodka. He called it the ten dollar party, and always had a 2 litre bottle of cactus cooler with it. People always wanted an invite for the ten dollar party, and it did the job.

If there is something that is worth investing in it is alcohol.

I have nothing productive to add to this thread.

Bravo, sir. "Good cheap booze" is oxymoronic.

Nyquil, Listerine or Aquanet probably have enough alcohol content to get the job done.

Wait if you can still purchase Aquanet I need to know where. Aquanet is the finest fixative for pastel, pencil or conte artwork known to man and ever since my mother's supply from my childhood ran out or she hid it from me I've been limping along with White Rain.

Also if you can get drunk off it in interesting ways I'll let my brother know.

Back in my college days, Saturday night meant a trip to the liquor store on 4th Street for a pint of Evan Williams. Which, if I recall correctly, cost me $1.99.

They couldn't put "premium quality" on the bottle if it wasn't true. Take a chance ...

The color of whatever's in that container does not look like whisky!

Two Buck Chuck is not palatable so does not qualify.

May I recommend a fine whisky from Sierra Leone?

As an alternative, there's this fine beverage from the Subcontinent.
