Best reuse of an Altoids Tin

Altoids are my go to breath mint. I average a few a day. As such, I have several empty tins in my desk, in my truck, and a few around the house.

These little containers are actually built quite well, and I feel bad throwing them out.

What are some of the best ways to reuse an altoids tin?

All kinds of things. I made a little do-all kit out of one that I keep in my desk.

    -bandaids
    -ibuprofen
    -neosporin
    -pony tail elastic
-clear nail polish (for stocking runs)
    -dental floss
    -safety pins
    -stain remover wipes
    -nail polish remover wipes
    -small emery board
    -needle and thread
    -lip balm
    -hair spray
-double sided tape (for a loose hem)

People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Well, I've made them into little beds for tiny stuffed mice I made my kids, like this:

Fairly sure you don't need any mouse-homes though so... mini first aid kits would work.

This is so adorable that I made a sound involuntarily. I think my daughter Addie felt a tremble in the cute-force because now she's calling my phone.....

I have a drawer full of them. They are each filled with coins from countries I've been to.

When I was 16 and still smoked I used to transfer my cigarettes into an empty altoids case. This way they wouldnt get crushed and my mom wouldnt catch me with them.

I only smoke cigars now, but if you have the nasty habit it works surprisingly well as a cigarette case.
