Well, I'm not thaaaaat far from the east coast - of Wisconsin. It is pretty nice here!
Although the Atlantic Ocean does not get anywhere near as many tsunamis as the Pacific, there is a real danger for very occasional truly major ones. Also, the northwestern Atlantic Ocean frequently gets these things called 'hurricanes'. As for the USA's east coast region, yes, there are many more people, the distances between them are fairly short and it isn't all that hard nor time-consuming to get around, but highway tolls are a KILLER!

Seems to me the Third Coast is getting short changed here!
People will miss that it once meant something to be Southern or Midwestern. It doesn't mean much now, except for the climate. The question, “Where are you from?” doesn't lead to anything odd or interesting. They live somewhere near a Gap store, and what else do you need to know? - Garrison Keillor

Why don't you knock it off with them negative waves?
Why don't you dig how beautiful it is out here?
Why don't you say something righteous and hopeful for a change?

Are you sure you're not hurt ?
No. Just some parts wake up faster than others.
Broke parts take a little longer, though.

I thought that the Arctic Ocean coast was the USA's 'Third' coast....
