Mom put the chocolate cupcakes in our lunch boxes in grade school, so I haven't had once since 1969. I haven't had Wonder Bread (almost every sandwich I had at home growing up was on Wonder Bread) since 1975.
I've never had a Twinkie or a Ho Ho.
Rumor has it Tasty Cakes is going to buy the rights from the company that is folding. It must be a lot like the restructuring that happened in the auto industry. Our Hostess Bakery closed 15 years ago and is now a casino (Don't laugh the building has great bones and was a historic structure). It was a shrinking market, but still had lots of followers and a great brand name.

I'll miss Nutty Bars and Zebra Cakes... Oh wait, those aren't Hostess. So I guess I really won't miss anything.
These are actually the ones I will miss the most. The orange cupcakes kept me fed during my early years of college. Nothing but the best in nutrition for THIS guy.

Bimbo bought out Mrs. Baird's in Dallas. Mrs. Baird was not a Bimbo or a Twinkie.
